Are You Ready for Christmas?
The Christmas Holiday is around the corner. Are you ready? Sometimes you might think that you got into working from home so that you could have more time with your family but the holidays bring with it a greater demand of that precious free time. You start thinking about how to find the time to do your shopping, plan your menu, attend your spouse’s office Christmas Party and not to mention sending out your cards and letters to various friends and family. This is where you might greatly benefit from good scheduling. Keep a small schedule notebook with you and map out the various things that you need to do. Start by scheduling specific tasks on certain days and spread them out so that you won’t feel overwhelmed with all that you have to do in one day.
It may mean that you will have to re-adjust your work hours as well. Perhaps you can find a few hours later in the evening after you have eaten dinner and put the kids to bed. Or maybe you can wake a little earlier in the morning before everyone else gets up. Either way, you do not have to upset your normal routine too much. This might cause more undo stress if you are not well rested or are running around trying to fit everything in.
Start your holiday shopping early. It is well worth getting your shopping done before all of the holiday rush. Better yet, shop online for your Christmas and Holiday gifts. There is no easier way than that unless you really love hitting the Malls. I like to do both. I shop at the Malls for certain gifts just to take in the sites and sounds of the Season. It helps to remind me of what the season is all about.
So go out there and enjoy the Christmas and Holiday Season with less of the stress and more of the fun! Happy Holidays!
